Hika K. started her education as a piercer in 2010 and has worked since then in multiple studios as a guest artist . She has worked both nationally and internationally in the United States, Australia and Canada, whilst having her homebase and regular clientele in Berlin. Currently she works on appointment at Kreuzstich Tattoo. Always driven by the urge to grow, and expanding her skills and knowledge, she continued educating herself at BmxNet Conference and the Conference of the Association of Professional Piercers, as well as travelling across the globe to shadow highly skilled colleagues and to exchange with her peers. She also volunteered at APP Conference from 2014 to 2017. While she was working on her career as a piercer she also earned a degree as a Bachelor in Philosophy and Literature, which she incorporates into her work as a performance artist, leading different groups and creating her own worlds to inspire her audience to re-evaluate their concepts of certain social constructs. At this year’s Conference she will share her experience about what it takes to travel as a piercer and to adapt to all different scenarios possible in the studio.
