Modern Piercing and Industrial Music, 1975 to 1994

This presentation will explore the parallel histories of modern piercing and industrial music, from the start of both Industrial Records and Gauntlet in 1975, through the intersection of piercing and industrial culture in RE/Search publications in the ‘80s, and ending with the introduction of piercing, fetish, and BDSM into popular culture in the ‘90s.
