Supporting Transgender Clients: Creating Safer Studios

This class is an open invitation to anyone who wants to better understand and support transgender and gender-diverse clients in a professional piercing environment. Whether you are already familiar with these topics or feel uncertain about where to start, the focus is not on politics or perfect terminology, but on practical skills, communication, and client care. Together, we will explore the basics of gender diversity, discuss respectful communication strategies, and examine how hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgeries can affect anatomy, healing, and piercing considerations. Attendees will also see examples of piercings on medically transitioned anatomy and have the opportunity to discuss common questions and real-world scenarios.
