James Weber

James Weber is the founder and owner of Infinite Body Piercing. In the late ’80s, while pursuing a degree in jewelry and metalsmithing at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he fell in love with body piercing after discovering Gauntlet and PFIQ magazine. After piercing many friends, and then friends-of-friends, he started offering piercing services out of the back of a punk boutique in March of 1993. He established Infinite Body Piercing in 1994, and opened its Philadelphia location in February of 1995.
James served two terms on the board of directors of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), serving as the medical liaison from 2005 to 2008, and then serving as the organization’s president from 2005 to 2011. From 2005 to 2012 James served as editor (and for several years as co-editor, with Elayne Angel) of The Point: The Quarterly Journal of the Association of Professional Piercers, overseeing twenty-seven issues over seven years. He continues to devote time to the organization as part of the APP’s Oversight Committee.
In 2025, Infinite Body Piercing celebrated the thirty-year anniversary of the opening of the studio, and it still operates in the same space today.
