The Story of an Early UK Piercing and Body Modifying Pioneer (World premiere of presentation!)
“The Incredible Til” was first introduced to an audience in an article authored by Sailor Sid Diller in 1981, issue 12 of Gauntlet’s Piercing Fans International Quarterly (PFIQ). The images of Til’s piercings stretched to the point at which his penis could be turned inside out, are still mind-blowing! Most of what we know about Tom comes from correspondence. The earliest letters date from the 1960s, when Tom was already in his fifties. We will be doing a deeper dive into recently acquired letters, illustrations and newly identified photographs.
