Piercing History through the Lens of Sheree Rose

Sheree Rose has documented the piercing community since the early 1980s. She was the first to film a documentary of Gauntlet back in the 80s. Her photos of pierced luminaries Jim Ward, Elayne Angel, Fakir Musafar, Genesis and Paula P-Orridge, as well as her life partner, performance artist Bob Flanagan, can be seen in the pages of Modern Primitives and PFIQ. This presentation will include a screening of the Gauntlet documentary and a clip of Elayne Angel piercing Bob Flanagan in the late 1980s.
