Room 16 : Cross Contamination, Communication, and Care

A Closer Look at Bio on Suspensions

This class will teach you to appreciate the position of Bio from a deeper point of view and address technical skills for doing bio well. Industry-specific cross contamination, aseptic technique, and wound care will be discussed. We will also discuss how to approach touch from a trauma-informed mindset, and how to best care for the suspendee. This class is for all levels, from those who have never suspended and are curious about this role in the team, to experienced facilitators who can learn how to better appreciate the role of bio in creating positive, empowering suspendee experiences. Debuting at the Otautahi Symposium to positive feedback, this class is designed to help bring more comprehensive education to the suspension community.
